Momentum Building in Western Australia

It’s exciting to see the momentum building in Western Australia. The recent LCWA AGM was a huge success and congratulations to all who put their hand up to serve in the year ahead. The fresh energy pouring into the Party is exactly what’s needed, as WA continues to play a leading role in the national push for cannabis reform.

On the ground, Dr Brian Walker is keeping the pressure on the State Government over ambulance ramping, demanding real solutions to a crisis that continues to put lives at risk. These fights in WA echo across the country, reminding decision-makers everywhere that health reform and evidence-based policy cannot be delayed.

At the same time, WA is hosting some of the most exciting national initiatives in cannabis advocacy. Tickets are now available for the ‘Cape to Cape for Cannabis 2026’ walk on 4/20, a spectacular trek along the iconic WA coastline to raise funds for groundbreaking cannabis research.

We’re also on the verge of seeing the outcome of the THC Driving Working Group, with Brian at the forefront of a campaign to shift the legal definition of impairment on our roads bringing us into line with other states.
