Brazilian study transforms 14 cannabis seeds into 4,000 seedlings

The study used mini-cutting techniques , already established in other cultures, such as forestry, and adapted them for cannabis production. According to Gustavo Baesso, forestry engineer and managing partner of Buds INC, this approach brings significant benefits.

“One of the major differences in the method developed is the production capacity per area. Whereas the traditional method has 1 plant, we have more than 50 matrices, each producing the same amount of shoots as a large matrix, which greatly increases the production capacity, allowing for large-scale production of quality seedlings.”

Furthermore, the technique provides greater control over the quality and uniformity of the plants, essential characteristics to meet the rigorous demands of the global market, explains Baesso.
