Tia Elliston Candidate 3 for New South Wales

The Legalise Cannabis Party is proud to introduce Tihema (Tia) Elliston as our 3rd NSW Senate candidate for the 2025 federal election, representing NSW. Tia stands alongside our lead Senate candidates, Miles Hunt and running mate, Michael Balderstone, in the fight for real representation and meaningful change.

Tia is not a career politician—she is a mother, a grandmother, a small business owner, a disability worker and a community advocate. With experience across various industries, from cleaning and retail to education and health services, she understands the struggles of everyday Australians. Her journey into politics stems from a lifelong commitment to justice and fairness, which led her to the Legalise Cannabis Party and the urgent need for cannabis law reform.

Tia is here to change that. As your Senator, she will be a voice for the state—one that is not bound by party politics, does not follow radical ideologies and does not engage in tokenistic gestures in Parliament.

Legalising cannabis for adult use and building a strong hemp industry is key to Australia’s economic and social future. Governments worldwide are recognising the immense benefits, from economic growth and job creation to harm reduction and increased tax revenue. Australia must follow suit. Cannabis is a health issue, not a criminal one, and outdated laws must be reformed.
