The official results from the South Australian Election have now been confirmed and despite receiving our best outcome ever in the SA State Election, we weren’t successful in winning a seat, this time around.
The results are still very positive for LCSA, having run 17 candidates in the Lower House, we were able to achieve some amazing results in quite a few of those electorates and we will be back to contest them again next time!
During our campaign we opened up an amazing and eye catching shop right in the heart of the city, giving people somewhere to seek information on cannabis and the Election, a hub for volunteers to get their election materials and of course, a shop for our merchandise.
While we have absolutely loved having a place where everyone can meet up and talk anything and everything cannabis, unfortunately our lease is up at the end of June and we will be packing up shop until the next State Election campaign in a few years time.
So if you haven’t had the chance to visit the shop in Station Arcade on Hindley Street, please pop down and say HIGH to Jess and the team, sign the petition (yes, we’re still taking signatures!) and grab some last minute merchandise before the shop is closed at the end of June!
While the shop might be closing, the fight for cannabis law reform by the LCSA continues on in the background, our AGM zoom meeting is scheduled for Thursday, 9 July, at 7pm local time.
We would like to encourage anyone and everyone who has the passion for change to join the team and help support us through to the next campaign! Please email the secretary for further details and to register your interest at [email protected].
